when starting and driving from cold all is fine,after a few miles,fault occurs,when slowing down to stop (5 mph ish),i can feel a small jolt then the green lights for the front wheels (on the 4x4 display) start flashing,i can sellect 4 wheel drive and all is ok then go back to 2wd but lights still flash,if car is parked up for approx 1 hour and driven the light are out until a few miles then come back on.any ideas?

check solenoids on top of gearbox may be knackerd or wires might be dammaged.
