2011 Mitsubishi Pajero what can the injector & throttle body cause as problems?

i don't know what is the problem with my car, but no one is able to figure out the exact problem.
what im facing is when the car is in Drive gear and in the traffic the RPM goes down to less than 500, i will have to put the neutral position so that the RPM goes higher.
any clue ?

Could try cleaning the throttle body and air idle control valve ( if fitted ) .Not sure about that year but earlier models had one .

I would imagine the vehicle is a diesel.It could be the airflow meter at fault
