hi,hope you can help,my engine may start perfectly well then after a few seconds the yellow engine light will come on and the engine will cut out

The Problem
when cold starts fine but when it gets hot it cuts out and will not refire up i have disconected the battery for 20 mins to reset everything nown evenwhen i do get it started with in 5 mins if will cut of again on hols at mo is there anything i can do please help me thanks

Many possible causes , unless you get it scanned , just guessing . Here are a few suggestions from Mitsubishi forum which might help you .
Location: UK
Drives: 2000 Chariot MX GDi Auto
Get a decent garage to do a check on your temperature sensors, knock sensors and lambda sensor. If these are not within range or faulty, it will cause some of the problems you describe.
Check all air connections from airflow meter to manifold and make sure no leaks. Also check there are no vacuum leaks on the brake servo hose.
If the throttle body has been cleaned out, I wonder if the sensors on it were reset correctly. I would try disconnecting battery for 10 minutes. Once reconnected, turn ignition on - do not start car, but turn it off within less than a second. This should allow ECU to reset the sensors and ECU.
