2011 Mitsubishi ASX gears will not slot in when going down the gear box

i bought a new asx in july 2011 and it struggles going into gear when going from 5th to 1st ..i took it back to the garage and they said there was metal in the oil and they say they replaced the gear box,,,however after only one day the same problem is still happening ,please can anyone tell me what the problem might be and what should i do ,

Take it straight back to the dealer and make a complaint, if they have changed the gearbox it clearly hasn't solved the problem
