Noise on cold start up, sounds like tappets, lasts a few seconds then clears. No further issue until again starting from cold usually after standing overnight!

Could be hydraulic tappets till oil reaches top end of engine . Could try changing engine oil with correct grade of a good name and OEM engine filter and see if it helps .
