2001 Mercedes Benz CLK alarm goes off

At all hours of the day and night my alarm goes off for no apparent reason.
Also the boot lid will not open on the remote.

could possibly the alarm ultasonics inside the car, they may well be getting wet or damp causing the problem, would recommend putting on a code reader and reading the faults listed as i'm sure it will have them, assuming its a factory fitment

maybe the two faults are tied together in the boot lock not realizing its not fully shut so wont open off the remote and so setting the alarm off too
