The CL and CLK classes have a problem where water gets into the boot seal, and under the carpet and makes a short in the CANbus controller box. This causes an intermittent signal to be sent through the car's electrics and slowly drain the battery. If this is the case, the car will start if it is left overnight but any longer than about 24 hours without being started, it will be flat again. A new one will cost about £230 depending on the model and year.
