2005 Mercedes Benz A Class intermittent problem - boot wont open

My boot wont open.
Then yesterday I tried it again and it did open. After I had the key in the engine and it was running for a while.
But it has gone again.
Have tried everything I think I did the last time.
I havn't taken it to the garage yet. Could it be something electrical?

Probably a sticking boot solenoid / actuator .Sometimes you can get away with pulling off trim to gain access and spraying with the likes of WD40 , but may need a new solenoid .
