car starts ok but when pressing accelorater lose power then gain power when easing of accelorater could it be fuel problem

could be a vacume leak check the lines.if not check vac control valve.

Sounds like engine misfire , check "micky p's " suggestion . If still having probs . and not been serviced for a while best to get it in for a diagnostic check / tune up . Could be something simple like plugs or leads breaking down under load .
