2005 Mazda Premacy losing revs when engaging gears

Today when we were out car started shaking, revs dropped and was a lack of power followed by a burning smell. Any help is appreciated.

Common cause often ignition coil pack breaking down and causing engine misfire .Worthwhile checking plugs at same time and replacing if needed .
