2001 Mazda Premacy clicking from centre console

A clicking similar to the clicking of an indicator occurs when the accelerator is depressed or released when in gear. Clicking is coming from the centre console /glove box area. It does not occur when the engine is revved out of gear. Sounds like a relay or switch. Doesn't seem to affect anything but is highly aggravating!
