2004 Mazda 3 rcl or cl does not work

The other problem I have with my mazda which has been a problem since I bought the car (but was aware of the problem and took the car anyway because I got a good price).

The RCL fob and the general CL do not work on the car.

For me to lock my car, I have to turn the ignition on and use the door lock switch on the drivers door to lock all the doors. Then I have to take me key out of the ignition and open me drivers door only using the door lock then get out and lock the drivers door using my key.

This is a bit of a nightmare and even more so when I have my two year old with me!

I've check all fuses in the car which are all fine, checked the cabling in the doors the best I can and there is not visable damage. I've also changed the batteries in both my key fobs and then tried the re-programming procedure that I fould online easy enough but none of this worked.

Just curious to see if anyone can advise me to try anything else before I have to bring it to a mazda garage.
