Electric windows switches not working on drivers door

2004 Mazda 3 1.6 TS2 petrol
Car: Mazda 3

Hi

I'm new to auto insider but hoping I can get some help and help others in return.

In my mazda the switches on the drivers door for the electric windows to not operate the other windows in the car but all the windows work fine using individual wtich on each door.

I've checked all the fuses and tried the window reset procedure as per my manual (open each window individually and close and hold for 2 seconds), this worked well but as soon as I turn the engine off and then go to drive again the switches stop working again as if my car has forgot.

Any help apprecited

Thank you
Stephen

i would check for broken wires between a post and drivers door like you say you set turn of ignition and it loses memory bit like a radio with memory feed for pre-set channels missing also re-check all fuses best to remove door card and check wires with ohm meter or get a local auto electrician to check it out for you i would not use mazda dealer will cost a fortune
