Loud noise when steering

My Sisters mazda 2 has just started making a loud noise when the steering wheel is turned. The power steering seems to be working fine. please see video

Sure it's not the alternator making the noise ?

well the noise is only present when the steering wheel is turned so I presumed it was the power steering

You may well be right , could try loading the alternator by putting on heater . headlights , heated rear window and see if it affects noise .Sounds like pump noise .
