2003 Lexus RX blue white smoke from exhaust and heavy engine consumption

Car: Lexus RX
Year: 2003
Variant: 300 SE
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My lexus blows out plumes of blue white smoke on start up and under heavy acceleration. It is using on average a litre of oil per day and the oil pressure light flashed on briefly yesterday.

Obviously something is seriously wrong with the engine, does anyone know of a trust worthy garage that can repair/recondition the engine at a responsible price?

Thank you

It sounds like you may have a broken or worn piston ring.
This would allow oil to pass through to the chamber where it will get burnt during the ignition cycle and pushed out of the exhuast.

It would be worth getting a compression test done in order to rule this out.

If it isn't this, then it could be a head gasket issue whereby the headgasket has failed between the oil drain ways from the cylinder head and the sump and one or more of the pistons.
