Intermittent power loss.

2014 Land Rover Freelander 2.2 SR4
Car: Land Rover Freelander
Year: 2014
Variant: 2.2 SR4
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Have a problem with intermittent power loss if the car exceeds 65mph or over, the next time time I pull up at a junction to pull away no power, after about 3 to 4 seconds the car lurches forward and persist until car cools down, there is no fault or error codes, only began to happen after a full service . Took back to garage for mechanic to check and reset no problems found but the problem persists can you help. kind regards Paul.

From what you say , seems to be a fault that was introduced on servicing . Dependant on what the service consisted of , but would think the mechanic would back track on what was done to locate the fault . If a Land Rover dealership , surprised they could not retrieve fault codes Possibly fuel filter faulty ( if changed ) or exhaust / cat convertor partially blocked but only guesses .

Many thanks for your reply, ironic that you mentioned that the fuel filter could be at fault as this was changed during full service, whether a Land rover part or not will take this up with mechanic. Kind regards Paul.
