Wont rev over 2500 revs
2003 Land Rover Freelander td4

hi my freelander wont rev over 2500 revs when you try the engine management light comes on. when on a computer there is no fault codes but sayes low fuel pressure 1.5 bar so replaced low pressure pump.still the same . so replaced the high pressure pump .still the same .anybody got any ideas

what diagnostic tool are you using? early td4s suffer from fuel rail harness wiring problems new harness available from landrover for incorrect readings on fuel rail 1.5 bar car would not run on idle exspect to see 230 bar and when driving 680 to 1450 bar, also check injectors for excessive flow

hi forgot to mention when i pull the plug off the low pressure sensor it runs fine for a while then cuts out and i have to restart it and it runs again for a while

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter this could be causing a restriction.
