2002 Land Rover Freelander won't start

Car: Land Rover Freelander
Year: 2002
Variant: Td4 5 door SW
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Some times when trying to start up the starter motor doesn't turn only a clicking sound then after a few clicks starter motor turns and away she goes. Is it a wiring fault or is the starter motor duff? Any advice please.

Check all wiring / connections at starter motor . Sounds like starter solenoid clicking .Also check all earth connections .
