the m&s symbol usually means mud and snow is on ie lower gear ratio for traction on loose earth as for the none starting problem all i can suggest is you gat a auto electrical specialist to come to your home address and he will be able to diagnose the fault for you and the suspension on these are hydraulic but dont hold me to that there may be a leak in the system or even a worn out shocker
