Can not start up

1996 Land Rover Discovery 4.0 Auto
Car: Land Rover Discovery
Year: 1996
Variant: 4.0 Auto
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When I'm driving along the road, the car stops itself and the engine stalls and can not restart. I called the AA and they say it's the fault of the coil, so the coil was replaced but still the problem had not been solved. The engine is turning but no spark up.

ok so you've had the shot in the dark diagnosois method so now I would suggest you get your car off to a good mechanic preferably with land rover experience. It may well turn out to be a faulty ignition amplifier or complete distributor. expensive so not worth a guess but worth every penny if you can pinpoint it as the cause of your problems.
