2006 Hyundai Matrix steering problem

when i go around a corner or bend the back end of the car seems to skid out and i have to grip the wheel any ideas whats causing this ??? thanks

Take it the tyres and pressures are o.k ? If so and it has just started to do this , you will need to get it into garage for check on rear suspension etc .

thanks for that we brought car last week ,its a 04 plate. we done tyre pressure its fine when i go round a bend it seems like the back end skids and i end up in middle of road when im not turning its ok i also notice when i go over a bump i have to grip wheel hard really worried bout it zoe

Did you buy the car from a garage / dealer ? If so get it back to him asap as it sounds unsafe to drive . If you bought it privately get it checked out by your garage ,again , asap .Was the car checked out and road tested / inspected before buying ? When was car MOT'd ?
