I left the two interior lights on inside the car for about 18 hours. now the car has a flat battery. tried jump starting it with little or no joy just makes a loud tapping noise what do i do??

Tapping noise you hesr will probably be starter solenoid clicking ,due to battery being flat .Either charge battery or make sure you are getting good contacts with decent leads when jump starting car .
