2005 Hyundai Matrix brand new battery. slowly discharges

Car: Hyundai Matrix
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.6 Special Edition
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & LightsRunning Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Brand new Battery. Matrix 05 plate. From new. No problems except over last year. Battery seems to discharge slowly. When off the Odometer still lit and flickers. Been in for investigation, but nothing. If left for over 4/5 days battery will be completely flat. Any ideas what it can be??
AA called out on few occasions. Battery started again, charges OK.
Have to trickle charge every other day to keep going....

If new battery has been load tested for any weak cells and is o.k , you will need to check for a parasitic drain .

Does sound like the vehicle is not going into sleep mode properly, dash flickering is strange indicating possible lin network fault ,would check everything is working correctly ,door locks etc and as suggested check for drain

Flickering is usually indicative of instrument cluster fault . Heard of some other models in Hyundai range with this fault previously .
