2012 Hyundai i40 stiff clutch & gear's

Almost have to push the clutch pedal through the floor to select a gear. Worse when cold. And when you come to a standstill at a junction and try to select 1st or 2nd really stiff.

Could be general wear and tear on clutch assembly , hydraulics ( master cyl. or slave cyl ) , gear shift selector / shift cables or a combination of all . Check clutch fluid level firstly and top up if needed
