2017 Hyundai i20 back lights go out when the engine is started

So no rear tail lights at all when switched on and engine running ?

Main dealer initially diagnosed that the switch was faulty and ordered a new one, when they went to fit it the electrician found that the cable plug on the back was loose, pushed it back on and hey presto £115 lighter the lights worked.
