My 1.2 2005 hyundai getz has started to drive sluggishly and an engine warning light has come on. I have just had it serviced and MOT'd with a new exhaust put on.

You really need to get it scanned to see what has triggered the engine warning light . You could return to the garage who have just serviced it but dependant on what the service covered , it may be unrelated . Things like electrical coil packs can be fine one minute and fail the next causing this type of engine fault .
