2004 Hyundai Getz oil visible

When topping my oil up i noticed oil is visible when taking cap off. I thought it should drain into the sump. Is this normal. The engine seems to get quite warm even on a short journey.

Some engines do this,
As long as it isn't leaking ignore it.
And modern engines for maximum efficiency do run hot.
Again unless the gauge reads red/hot ignore this.
