No power when pulling away+struggling to pick up speed

Over the last 4-5 months my car has progressively got worse pulling away through a lack of power/pull and struggles to get upto speed going up slight inclines, just had my M.O.T and the guy said he thinks I have a slight leak in my fuel injector, could this be the problem????

Sounds like clutch slipping .
