CRANKING NOISE FROM STEERING COLUMN

TOOK MY CAR FOR TRACKING RECENTLY AND AFTER HAVING IT DONE REALISED THERE WAS A CRANKING NOISE COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN BUT ONLY FROM WHEN THE CARS STATIONERY TO PULLING OFF BUT IS OK WHEN DRIVING. THE VIBRAION CAN BE FELT IN THE STEERING WHEEL

Did they take the steering wheel off to straighten it up after setting the wheel alignment, if they did they might not have put it back together properly and maybe damaged one of the column bushes

might not be related but sounds like a track rod ends have been disturbed ie need replacing but dont rule this out just yet have the car checked out again by who ever tracked the car to see if they can resolve the problem for you and if they are connected then they can replace them and track the car up again at the same time for you
