2005 Ford Ranger overrevving

My 2005 ranger starts to overrev to 2000 revs after about 5 minutes driving. It stays that way for about 5 mins then dies down to correct idle again.
while it is overrevving it has a typical pinking sound that is not there during normal driving.

Check /clean or replace if needed , IAC ( idle air control valve ) Could also clean throttle body .
