Ford Mondeo Boot Torsion Spring Problems

hi guys im replacing the rear shock absorbers on my 2005 mondeo and was wondering if you would recommened monroe shocks or should i go and get the genuine shocks from a ford dealer.and would it be a big job to change them myself... any guid...
