december 2009 my car skidded on ice the front suspension damaged. phoned my insurance axa who in turn got back to me.their approved repairer mitchell inglis would collect my car for repair. It drove on to the back of their waggon from my home to their garage in south street glasgow. that was on 22 december 2009. I haven't saw my car since. On january 11 2020 they called to say your cars ready good news and bad news. whats the good news i asked you got a set of new alloys bad news your car wont start. I called axa to let them know. i received a letter of response from them. telling me it was my fault as my car hadn't been properly maintained.Rubbish. they said the water pump had frozen and there was no evidence of anti freeze. I sent them a receipt to which I had paid Arnold clark £45 for back in November 2009 for a new water pump and 3ltrs of anti freeze. no rely itook it too th Financial Ombudsman who said axa wasn't responsible I should take it up with Arnold clark.
I wrote to Arnold Clark at their Head Office No reply. I then contacted Motor Codes who took on my case thisd was in September 2010 after investigation they got back to me and said tyhey didn't find Arnold Clark was to blame. I stongly disagreed contacted consumer direct who got Trading Standards to phone me. I explained the situation to them and was advised to take my case to court. I've had 2 independent engineers reports done onh the last report Arnold Clark gave the wrong info to the engineer regarding mileage. I spoke to the engineer to give him the correct info. The engineer also explained that my car had been recently topped up with anti freeze although it hasn't moved from mitchell inglis.then last weekn trading standards called me Arnold Clark told them they had given me the antifreeze to take with me which is lies.
looking for any advice or a decent lawyer. thanks.

I can see both sides of the arguement here and numerous points that need answered .You really need to get some legal advice and a lawyer onto this right away before it's dragged on any longer , especially when you are getting no reply from your letters .Lawyers letters wont go unanswered .You should not have let it go for so long , doesn't help your case .I remember years ago when it was Hardy Inglis , they were a good , well known company then to do businees with . You going to have your work cut out getting this sorted out , all the best .
