Where to find a cheap but decent quality turbo

Hi Guys,
I have a Ford Mondeo TDCi 2.0L Diesel, has now done 77K miles. The car was giving very low mpg and was also giving a lot of black smoke. When checked found the turbo to be faulty. I have been looking for (preferably) a recon or a 2nd hand turbo but they are awfully expensive. I have tried online and the local car repairers, scrap yard etc and the cheapest I could find is for around £450 (recon). I am currently looking on ebay but had no luck so far. Could anyone suggest where I could find a cheap but a decent quality turbo. I live in Dartford Kent. Please share your thoughts / experience. Cheers
