car runs fine but when headlights switched on car runs rough and will not pick up revs problem not too bad if only side lights only on

maybe look for poor connections around earthing points round the back lights they might share the same points as the fuel pump

Could also check alternator charging rate when loaded .

hi i had the same problem at christmas time,had the car checked over by auto electrician who thought it was an alternator/earth fault but could find no faults,few days later the had the aa to plug it into the computer turned out to be the coil pack £30 later no problems, hope this helps
