I have the Ford cd 6000 radio fitted to my Mk4 Mondeo and I'm finding that the siver paint on certain control buttons is flaking off revealing the original black plasic beneath. Im told you cannot purchase a replacement facia panel so what can you do? Anyone else had this problem?

Get one from a scrapyard or try on E-bay

I have exactly the same thing on my 58 plate Mondeo. Its criminal how manufactures get away with this stuff. its down to poor paint application. I complained to ford and they gave me the hard shoulder. a scrap yard is very unlikely to have a working radio, I am currently in touch with ford customer services. Ill let you know the outcome. In the mean time I would recommend that you also log a complaint about the poor quality of this radio. Regards, Stuy
