ongoing problem with my mondeo couple of weeks ago i got towed home coz it wouldnt start. the next night i went out and it started without a problem drove it for about a week then it happened again took it to the garage an they said it was the fuel pump got a new one from ford it was fine for a couple of weeks now its happened again wont start its had new ht leads, fuel pump, battery please help

When you say it wont start do you mean it wont even turn over? If so it sounds like a dodgy starter motor connection, main earth lead to chasis connection or starter motor.

check you are getting fuel and spark and that engine is cranking over

remove all the plugs and check all are sparking,check fuel is getting to fuel rail and injectors

thank this is strange went out last night there was no pressure going to the fuel rail went out this morning and it started what could this be please help

when you turn the ignition on the fuel pump will run for a few seconds to prime the system,if this is`nt happening could be a poor connection to fuel pump,check you are getting power to the fuel pump,could be that the ecu is not switching the fuel pump,would need to put on ids for diagnosis

check the fuel is getting to the fuel filter,its worth changing the fuel filter if it has`nt been done recently,making sure it is fitted the right way, and check the fuel lines for a blockage or restriction,might be worth putting some fuel system cleaner in tank to help clean any crap out of lines

I have just started to have problems starting my Mondeo 1.8LX. There is petrol in the tank and the battery is fully charged.
The faults are
Starter will not engage.
Engine will not start on bump or jump start.
All fuses are ok.
Frost and ice warnings are displayed.
Air temperate and milometer show bars.
All other electrics are ok.
