engine managment light on turns over ok just wont start

get a diagnostic scan done to check what fault codes are stored,have you tried jump starting the car with jumper leads,when the car does`nt start are you getting fuel to injectors and spark at plugs?

put new battery in and im getting fuel through and spark

If you are getting spark and fuel , check if your car has a timing belt or chain .Varies according to year / engine .

it has a belt and it looks fine its done this before and then a couple of days later it started with out a problem

try a new set of plugs.

You say the timing belt " looks fine " is the camshaft turning o.k ? Look through oil filler cap to check .Also as suggested by paulieone check plugs .
