1998 Ford Mondeo windscreen washer bottle to be replaced.

Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 1998
Variant: 2.0 Zetec manual
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
The windscreen washer bottle has split due to the very cold weather during the winter months expanding the contents. I have bought a replacement bottle but on trying to remove the damaged reservoir have found it to be alomost impossible to access, and the bolts securing it to the bodywork cannot be reached unless you have rubber arms and hands the size of a childs! I have removed the front lower apron in an attempt to gain access but the area is still to confined for me to get the removal tools inside. Any sensible suggestions will be very much appreciated.

im not to sure about this but if you remove the bumper you will be able to gain access to the screws that are holding the bottle up against the inner wing

hi friend
i removed a washer bottle on your model of car for a neighbour years ago. i seem to remember ( vaguely ) gaining access by removing n/side wheel & wheel arch plastic liner & if memory serves correct, access was relatively easy. you can try this line of attack if you wish, remembering i said it was years ago, but if not sure, get a experienced mechanic mate to assist you. best of luck mate, let me know how you get on. regards dj dave.
