2004 Ford Mondeo coil light flashing engine management light on and car will not start

The coil light came on and the car was lacking power. Then the engine management light came on, the car was still running but was slugish.
I went to start the car after being left over night and would not start.I eventually got it going but there were cloud of smoke and it was struggling to keep going.
Does any one have any ideas on what this could be!!!

Best bet is to get it scanned and see what shows , otherwise just guessing on many possible causes.

at a guess it may be EGR fault

What year is your car what miles on the dash etc.
From my experience, your problem is one or more faulty fuel injectors.
I have fixed alot of cars with this problem.
You might try to start the car with full throttle and rev it very hard for about 10 seconds until it clears all the overfuelling.
