2005 Ford Mondeo heater blower problem

My heater has started only blowing in one direction (down at the foot wells) no matter which setting I choose! I need to try and fix this as winter is looming any suggestions?

probably have fault with mixer flap.not sure what type of control on your vehicle for mixer flpas but it will either be via a small motor or cable. there is a possibility that the gear wheel to flap is worn
