2000 Ford Mondeo spedo not working

Hi my spedo is not owrking, my friend has looked at it and said i may need a new cable but am having trouble getting one. I ohone a local part place who say it's an electric spedo and has no cable ? and a ford garage that says it comes in 3 parts whic one do i need ? It looks like there is just one cable . please halp / advise

go with ford and just replace the whole lot

yes go with ford as if they have said which cable do you want then obviously cable operated and by replacing the whole lot you wont have any trouble in the future with the others and it can all be replaced at once
