2005 Ford Mondeo is putting 18'' alloys onto standard mondeo a good idea..???

Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 2005
Variant: 2.0 tdci
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
hi guys i just had my 2005 mondeo through the mot test and past with flying colours i even got all suspension and sub frame checked prior to test and this was also fine.

i have seen a geunine ford set of 18'' alloys for sale off a mondeo st and want to know would i be doing harm to my car by fitting them on my standard mondeo as i think the st might have uprated suspension.

also does anyone know if it would be hard job to refurbish alloys myself they just have scratches and arent buckled.

cheers

it will be a mark 3 on a 2005 plate, depends how much damage there is on the wheels as to how hard a job it is to refurb them yourself, should`nt be any major problems fitting 18s to your car,

Unless you can spend a bit of time and make a good job of refurb. wheels , leave alone or they may look worse when finished .Either that or get them done professionally .

hi guys im not going to do the refurb ive just found a set of 18'' st focus wheels for sale and want to make sure that im not going to run into trouble with replacing the suspension parts prematurley because of 18'' wheels on my car because the standard alloys were 16''

There will be no problem at all changing them to 18's no need to change suspension
