Central Locking

1996 Ford Mondeo 1.8 LX Manual
Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 1996
Variant: 1.8 LX Manual
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
I've had issues with the doors not locking on the remote key and had two motors replaced however now instead of just the drivers door unlocking when I press the button once, both driver and passenger doors unlock. Also, sometimes the drivers door will not lock/unlock with the button but will work with the key. I took it back to the place where I had the motors changed and they were extremely unhelpful, just wanted more money to look at it even though it came back from them still not working properly so I won't be going back there. Does anyone know it there's some kind of re-set that needs to be done or if this is something I just have to put up with. I should also say that the car only gets an outing every few weeks so possibly the locks are just upset at lack of use?!!!?
Any help/advice will be gratefully received.

could be like you say not getting used enough but to reset the car have you tryed disconnecting the battery for a hour or two and then reconnecting it this might work and might not but worth a try

I am pretty sure that the mondeo on this year did not have single entry so all doors should unlock with one press of the remote. As for the intermitent response from the car i would say you have faulty remote, have you tried changing the battery inside the remote
