2001 Ford Mondeo central locking not working

My remote key doesn't work anymore. It started to get intimittant and I used to have to press the buttons a few times to lock or unlock the car. I have checked the battery and that is ok. Is there a way to reset my key to work again with the car or is the key just knackered?

i have seen on this web site is pos lead on the battey for 20 min and that should work good luck
