2007 Ford Mondeo power loss

Car starts fine from cold and drives as it should, but once I stop the car and restart it the glow plug light flashes and it has no power. If I drive it for a while with no power and then restart it it usually get power back. any ideas?

The glow plug light is also an engine fault light and can be triggered by many things . It really needs scanned for stored fault codes but you could try changing the fuel filter which is often one of many causes
