if the cat converter breaks inside can it make the car loose power on acceleration but tick over ok...
its as if its chocking itself when u put ur foot down plus theres an hissing noise

yes when it breaks up it often blocks exhaust, the hissing is exhaust gas finding other ways out ,this can damage gasgets so dont run engine.cats arnt too expensive but make sure you check for misfires so as not to damage new cat
