1998 Ford Mondeo misfire on acceleration

hi if the exhaust is blocked inside would it make the car misfire but only on acceleration as it ticks over fine

Check the plug lead on No1 cyl (nearest the coil) as there prone for tracking down the outside of the plug. Take the plug out and look at the porcelain for signs of black lines. If you find any, change the leads and plugs.
