2002 Ford Mondeo no hot or cold air through vents

Hello my mondeo does not have hot or cold air coming through the front vents,its all diverted to windscreen vent,garage have said all electric etc are fine,but needs new flap inside the dash,apparently the flap has broken,been told this is expensive is this the case.or is there somthing else i could try.thankyou.

sorry but there is no other way if the flap is broke then it will require a new or second hand one from a breakers which will require dashboard to be removed amongst other things to gain access to the flap
