2000 Ford Mondeo rear wiper not working

rear wiper only works when the washer arm is pressed ford to squirt water, the arm will keep working all the time the arm is pressed forward, but push the button on the end of the arm, and the wiper moves about 1/2", can you give any clues as to why this might happen

change your washer arm stalk if that doesnt cure your problem then you might have to get a new wiper motor for the back.
