Flashing glow plug (Coil) warning light

2006 Ford Mondeo 2.2 Tdci
Car: Ford Mondeo
Year: 2006
Variant: 2.2 Tdci
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Yesterday I went to accelerate up a long inclined hill, then the glow plug light began to flash and engine entered "Limp mode" eventually got to the top of the hill and turned the car off, waited, then restarted and all was and so far has been well. I Have searched other forums and the fault could be anything between the glow plugs themselves, replacing the fuel filter, clogged up EGR, to a fault with the injectors. had this issue happened to you and what did it turn out to be

The only way to find out is to get it scanned and see what fault code/s are logged , otherwise you could be replacing parts not required and also wasting money .

Hi all. Have had diagnostics check done today, Mechanics think that its either the turbocharger actuator (electric) or the turbocharger. But couldn't be 100% sure as this was the first occurrence I have known of, so codes were cleared and was told that if & when the problem recurs to come back to see if it is the same fault before forking out for pointless repairs.
